COLERAIN TWP., Ohio (WKRC) - After some technical issues during the pregame of a local high school varsity volleyball matchup prevented the National Anthem from playing, a team of players joined together to sing it themselves.
"Last night at volleyball, Northwest had difficulty getting the National Anthem to play soooooooo this happened!" wrote Tuesday A. Miller-Brehm in his Facebook post that included a video of the girls singing. "So very proud of these young ladies!"
The team of girls singing is the Edgewood High School varsity volleyball team. They were the visiting team to Northwest High School that night.
Reportedly, the girls were asked if they would sing after the technical issue occurred, and they agreed. Both teams, and members of the crowd, joined together to sing.
