WE ONLY HAD TWO HEALTHY DRIVERS OUT OF 12 NINE OF TMHE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 INDIVIDUAL WE’RE VERYON CCERNED ABOUT IS IN ICU AND ON A VENTILATOR AND SO OBVIOUSLY WE COULDN’T PROVIDE ANY SERVICE. A bus driver with the Butler Transit Authority died Friday morning due to COVID-19 complications. This news comes amid an ongoing driver shortage after 10 out of 12 drivers were out sick with COVID-19.Transit Authority executive director John Paul said the driver was a 38-year-old man. No other information on the driver has been provided at this time."We're deeply saddened by his loss, he was a very dedicated driver," Paul said. "He was a very good young man, it's just a shame it had to come to this virus." All local routes and two commuter routes are suspended until further notice. Paul said there are still a number of drivers who are still sick.
