Benny The Butcher has teased his major collaboration with Drake on numerous occasions since 2019, even detailing how it could have fit the 6 God’s Billboard chart topping album Certified Lover Boy.

The Griselda rapper couldn’t keep fans at bay from hearing a snippet of the leak as it made its way on the Internet. Over a low-fi sample and hard-hitting drums, Drake bats lead-off, living up to Benny’s previous tease he was “talking his shit.”

“Drake you joshing around but life wasn’t Nickelodeon or Disney, is you kidding me?/My résumé is thicker than Nicki, I’m busy busy/I remember doing halftime in Jackson, Mississippi/Wasn’t driving Cadillac then but shit still found a way to escalate quickly/Wanted people to miss me, changed shit after Nipsey,” Drizzy raps on the track.

Benny backdoors with an optimistic verse rapping, “I touched a little bit of this paper, I’m still yearning/Drove the work 300 times at least, I’m still nervous/Here to speak for the hopefuls, keepin’ it soulful/Fallin’ face down at the bar, having drinks at Komodo/Hoping these meetings on rooftops never turn to jail visits/It only put a smile on my face when the scale tippin’.”

Benny The Butcher Addresses Missing Out On Drake's ‘CLB’ + Kanye West's ‘Donda’

Since January, Benny has been answering questions about the long-rumored collaboration, citing he wanted the right time in order to drop it and in a recent interview with Wayno for his Connected series, explained how he wanted everything to align with Drake’s time as well.

“Drake is Drake. He’s the biggest artist in the world, so ain’t no tellin’ where that song gon’ land,” Benny said at the 53-minute mark. “We got the song, I played it for all the homies. It’s a vibe and he gotta place that where he sees fit to it. I feel like it definitely would have fit in and definitely would have mixed things up, but I also see why he didn’t put it on [Certified Lover Boy].”
