UPDATE: The emu has been captured.
DE SOTO, Mo. – An emu is loose in the city of De Soto, Missouri.
The De Soto Police Department announced on its Facebook page that officers are trying to capture an emu that is loose in the city.
Police ask if anyone knows the owner to have them contact the police department at (636) 586-8891.
Police also advise staying back from the emu and not to scare it.
