Celebrate the Great Outdoors With GRAMMY Award-Winning & Drama Desk Nominee Gary Morris on National Hunting and Fishing Day on September 25

Roll into fall on a high note and celebrate September’s National Hunting and Fishing Day with Abilene Fly Fishers Ambassador, avid outdoorsman, Grammy Award-winning & Drama Desk nominee Gary Morris. Though he may call the stage and its tour-life home, Morris finds true solace in the great outdoors, taking on hobbies and sports, including hunting, fishing, and cooking.

“I’ll fly fishing until I can’t make a cast. It’s as important as breathing,” says Gary Morris.

Morris has hunted on all seven continents. He also hosted a TV show on The Nashville Network called North American Sportsman, which ran for five seasons and featured many celebrity guests including Bryant Gumbel and Troy Aikman.

Somewhere between promoting his thirteenth album co-produced by Morris and Michael Bonagura (Baillie and The Boys), Sense of Pride, the virtuoso finds the time to evolve his career and reach new pinnacle points. Most recently, Morris has made appearances on country podcast programs including Country Music Made MeThe Troubadour Podcast, and the soon-to-be-released episode with In The Country.

Splitting his time between Music City and his ranch in Colorado, Gary shares stories and songs with his fans on his podcast program, The Gary Morris Project From the Beginning. On the platform, Morris cherishes and reflects on his professional journey with friends and other musicians including, Paul Worley and Alyssa Bonagura of the Sisterhood.
