A huge showdown is set to take place at Stamford Bridge Saturday when Chelsea hosts Manchester City as the top two English Premier League clubs meet on the pitch for the first time in 2021.

Chelsea has yet to lose in EPL play this season, with four wins, and a draw through their first five matches. Man City fell to Tottenham Hotspur in their first game of the season, but have since won four straight and not allowed a single goal.

In fact, the only goal Man City has allowed all season was in the 55th minute at Tottenham to Son Heung-Min. Their defense has been lights out as they own the second-best goal differential in the league at +10, though Chelsea's is slightly better at +11. The only goal the Blues allowed this season was in a mid-season 1-1 draw on the road at Liverpool.

Here are the odds via WynnBET.

Chelsea vs. Manchester City Pick

Man City, despite being three points back of Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United remains slight favorites to take home the Premier League at WynnBET with odds of +185. Chelsea falls slightly behind at +200.

Because these teams literally hold the same game day odds at WynnBET, I'm going to focus on the total where I expect the UNDER 2.5 to hit quite comfortably. Despite both teams reaching double digits in goals scored, they also have only given up one goal all season.

I think the goals scored for both teams is a misleading stat. When both teams played their highest level of competition, it either resulted in a low-scoring loss (1-0 for Man City at Tottenham), or a draw (1-1 for Chelsea at Liverpool). Chelsea did defeat Tottenham 3-0 last week on the road, so it would seem like they should be favored at home against Man City.

Perhaps the oddsmakers know something we don't?
