Twitter Permits Content Creators to Receive Tips in Bitcoin
- Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) will now allow users to tip their favorite creators on the social network using bitcoin.
- It will also launch a fund to pay some users who host audio chat rooms on its Spaces feature.
- CEO Jack Dorsey is one of the most vocal supporters of bitcoin.
Microblogging and social networking service platform Twitter now permits influencers to receive tips in BTC. Specifically, Twitter users globally on iOS devices can now send and receive digital payments. Particularly, users can now tip their favorite creators on the social network using Bitcoin. More so, Twitter does not take a cut of any money sent through its Tips feature.
People drop links to their payment profiles in their bios and in their Tweets. Furthermore, you must be 18+ years old to enable Tips or send someone a tip and agree on the new General Tipping policy.
