Parkland Health & Hospital System to begin offering COVID-19 booster

Parkland Health & Hospital System announced they would begin offering booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine to those who are eligible starting Monday.

People who are older than 65, or older than 18 with a high risk of severe COVID-19, or older than 18 with an increased risk for exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting can visit any of Parkland’s vaccination sites.

The Dallas Morning News is reporting, the booster is available only to those who received the Pfizer vaccine. There is not currently an approved booster for the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
