Mesquite Animal Services rescues 111 dogs

Mesquite rescues 111 dogs

Mesquite Animal Services was notified on Thursday about a home with a large number of dogs. Animal control officers found 111 dogs on the property, all small breeds. City regulations set a limit of three dogs at a residential location.

The owner agreed to surrender custody of the animals to Mesquite Animal Services they were taken to the city's animal shelter to be impounded and vaccinated. The city called on several outside animal rescue agencies for help and was able to place all of the dogs with those agencies for adoption.
