Born Thursday, April 21, 1960 in Benton, KY, he was the son of the late Bob Riley Newcomb, Sr. and the late Sarah Louise (Haley) Newcomb.
He worked for Nature Chem in Conyers, GA and for Jon Wallace Construction in Benton, KY. He retired as a laborer for Local #1214 in Paducah, KY where he also worked construction. He was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church and of the Marshall County Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife 38 years, Tammy (Oakley) Newcomb of Gilbertsville, KY; son, Caleb Newcomb wife Karen of Gilbertsville, KY; daughter, Sarah “Niki” Newcomb of Gilbertsville, KY; brother, Monte Newcomb of Benton, KY; sisters, Mary Linn of Murfreesboro, TN, Marlene Whitley of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Joseph Newcomb, Dalton Carpenter, Braxton Newcomb, Kirstyn Newcomb, Haley Jo Newcomb, Maisie Newcomb; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Riley Newcomb, Jr., David Newcomb, Donald “Donnie” Newcomb, Michael Gene Newcomb; sisters, Bonnie Smith, Patricia Morehead and Brenda Jo Newcomb.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Zion’s Cause Baptist Church, 1532 US 68 West Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier officiating. .
