Michigan State vs. Nebraska betting odds for 09/25/21 game; Spartans favored and could be profitable

Bettors have some difficult choices to make if they want to wager on Saturday night’s Big Ten matchup between the Michigan State Spartans and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. While the Spartans are favored in the contest, oddsmakers seem to be indicating they wouldn’t be surprised of Nebraska scores the road upset.

The spread on the game has fluctuated at times this week, but has settled around -4 to -4.5 as of Saturday morning, a full point lower than it was Friday. That’s good news for those looking to bet on MSU to cover, as that extra point could be the difference in cashing out a win. The Spartans have easily covered the spread in both games they’ve played this year, entering each as the underdog.

On the moneyline, oddsmakers have the Spartans in the - 185 to -215 range depending on the sportsbook. Again, that’s good news for MSU fans as the return of a moneyline bet gets better as the numbers gets lower. However, that’s also typically a sign that oddsmakers think the chance for an upset is higher than in other games, despite MSU being favored to win outright.

The over/under on the matchup has risen in the last day with some books getting up to 54.5 on the game, after being down in the 52.5 range earlier in the week. In the five combined games the two teams have played this year, the under has hit in four of those games.
