Air Force Veteran, Angelo William Violante, of Cranston, Passes at 77

Angelo W. Violante, 77, of St. Marys Drive, Cranston passed away on September 23, 2021 at home. He was the husband of 56 years to Elida (Valdez) Violante.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmino and Alice (Costantino) Violante.

Angelo worked for Technic Inc. for many years before retiring. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He was the father of Ann M. Sykes, Paula Gabriele, and her husband Steven and the late Michael Violante; grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 16 and he was the grandfather of the late Isabella Rose Carnevale. He was also the brother of David and Camino Violante, Frances Hall, Paula Violante, Janice Pedro, and Judith Abate.

His visitation and funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am from the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.

Graveside burial with Military Honors to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelo’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
