Over 70,000 Afghan evacuees are rebuilding their lives after having to flee the country, now under Taliban control. One military contractor struggled to make it out, until he got help from his high school English teacher in Delaware County.

Now, just a few weeks after fleeing the country, the contractor says he’s ready to go back to Afghanistan to help rebuild. WHYY’s Robby Brod has more.
