The 2023 Subaru Forester is an SUV that wears a well-known design. This model sits on the company’s New Global Platform, which has brought notable improvements in comfort and ride quality. However, when it comes to styling, the 2023 model will receive a few tweaks, including few revisions to the front and a vast number of wheel options.
The Wilderness version is recently revealed, which already debuted in the Outback. This version offers plentiful off-road upgrades, such as specially made suspension, 9.2 inches of increased ground clearance, and a couple of unique aesthetical details.
Cabin Upgrades
The 2023 Subaru Forester is one of the most spacious models in the class, which offers two comfortable rows of seats and enough room to accommodate five passengers. Anyway, the cargo area is among the biggest in the class, offering 31.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. However, this number can be double to 76.1 cubic feet in total with folded seats.
When it comes to tech, the new Forester will receive some new gadgets. It should feature a bigger infotainment touch screen, two USB ports, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, and four speakers. We presume that it will also include dual-zone automatic climate control, panoramic moonroof, push-button start, and nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system as optional.

Beneath the hood, the new 2023 Subaru Forester will be powered by the same engine as before. That means we will once more see a potent 2.5-liter flat-four, producing 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. If you didn’t know, this unit is available with a CVT gearbox, and it uses an all-wheel drive as standard.
On the other hand, what’s really impressive about this SUV is its fuel economy. It`s EPA rated at 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, which is even better than most 2WD competitors.
Release Date and Price
The forthcoming 2023 Subaru Forester will bring some refreshments, but generally nothing significant compared to outgoing model. As we`ve mentioned, the manufacturer will revise its front fascia, and we can expect a more attractive grille, headlights, and vast numbers of wheels. On the other hand, the cabin will be much better, and it should include more premium materials and gadgets.
We also expect the Wilderness to come with several off-road upgrades, such as modified suspension, higher ground clearance, etc. According to many reports, the new Forester will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022. The starting price will be $25.000 for the standard model, while the Wilderness variant could starts at $33,000.
