Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed in crash in Abbeville County

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday night in Abbeville County, according to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.The Abbeville County Coroner identified the victim as 39-year-old Mathew Charles Collins, of Donalds, South Carolina. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Keowee Road near Paco Drive, Bolt said.According to Bolt, Collins was traveling eastbound when he lost control on the left side, went into a ditch and struck a fence.Collins was not wearing a helmet, was ejected and died at the scene.
