Penrith can breathe a sigh of relief after their main man was given the all clear, while Melbourne look set to start next year without one of their key players.

South Sydney are through to their first grand final since the drought-breaking win of 2014 and Benji Marshall will throw more swerve at Father Time as the 36-year-old returns to a grand final for the first time since 2005.

For Manly, the news is more grim.

Below is the list of judiciary charges for the preliminary finals.

NATHAN CLEARY CLEARED, GRANT SUSPENDED

Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary is free to play in the grand final after he escaped charge for a potential dangerous throw.

Cleary upended Kenny Bromwich in the first half of the Panthers' gutsy win over Melbourne, but the match review committee judged the playmaker doesn't have a case to asnwer.

Storm hooker Harry Grant however looks like missing round one of 2022 for a crusher tackle.

Grant caught Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards in an awkward position, seeing him charged with grade one dangerous contact.

He'll miss one match with an early guilty plea or two if he fights it and loses.

Two Panthers fined but escaped suspension - James Fisher-Harris can accept a $1,350 fine for his head slam on Felise Kaufusi, while Stephen Crichton can accept a $2,500 fine after he threw Justin Olam's boot away during the second half.

JOSH ALOIAI FACES THREE-GAME BAN TO START 2022

Aloiai's dangerous throw on Rabbitohs prop Mark Nicholls in the dying stages of South Sydney 36-16 win on Friday night sees the Manly prop facing a three or four match ban to kick off 2022.

Aloiai's lifting tackle was judged a grade two, with a 300 point base penalty to be hit with 20 per cent loading due to a prior non-similar offence in the last two years.

Aloiai also has 25 carryover points.

An early plea will see him serve a three match ban and walk away with 40 carryover points.

Should he challenge the charge and lose, he'll serve four matches and have 45 carryover points.
