Duane Kincaid

Sep 24, 2021

1939 2021

Duane Paul Kincaid, 82, passed away September 18, 2021, at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on September 9, 1939, to James Howard Kincaid and Maxine Kingston Dontas in McCook, Nebraska.

He was raised in Taylor, Utah. Duane married Sharen May Devlin on August 27, 1961, in Elko, Nevada, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 4, 1969. They had just celebrated their 60th Prime Time, known to others as anniversary.

Duane served in the US Army as a paratrooper and as a guard over German prisoners in concentration camps in Germany.

Duane was always thinking! He was a man that could do anything! He could take nothing and make something out of it. He was self-employed in the manufacturing industry for his whole career. After retiring he would spend the colder half of the year in Mexico with his wife. He loved to fish and hunt. There was rarely a moment he could be found without his wife by his side, he was an excellent husband. 1,2,3 … ditto, ditto, ditto.

He left this world with a smile on his face as if greeting family, friends, and puppies on the other side of the veil. Saying “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!!”

He is survived by his wife Sharen; children Shaylene, Shaunna, Sharee (Wesley), Anahid; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Ann, Jeanie, Rick, Michelle, Hung, Hai, and Tuan and a loving stepmother Bong Kincaid.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the veterans Tunnel to Towers Foundation. https://t2t.org/donate/, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the family home, 2268 South 3500 West, Ogden, Utah.

The family would like to thank the Veterans Hospital for all their love and care.
