Here are Pictures of Things You Don’t See Everyday In El Paso

There are some things that you don't see on a daily basis in El Paso. Sometimes those things you see are quite shocking or appealing to the eyes. For example, years ago a friend of mine and I were cruising on I-10 when we spotted surfboards on a trailer.

Either a few surfers were traveling through El Paso or someone was personally delivering surfboards out West. Either way, my friend and I got so excited we had to take a picture that you can see below. It isn't every day that you see surfboards traveling through El Paso, Texas.

Another time I spotted something that was attention-grabbing was when I had just gotten off work. I stopped at the lights at Executive Center and N. Mesa St. when a pink truck with an 8 ball logo stamped on the door. I am not sure if it is a work truck or what but it definitely is attention-grabbing.

Plus, it isn't every day you see a pastel pink truck with an 8 ball logo on it. Another time was when a big traveling limousine bus decided to ride along Scenic Drive. Most people who use Scenic Drive most of the time rarely see a traveling limousine bus use that route.

Well, on a day my son wanted to know why it took me longer to get home so I made sure to get proof. Never have I ever seen those traveling limousine buses take Scenic Drive until now.

Oh, another Scenic Drive moment you rarely see is a porta potty in the parking section across from the Police Academy. Of course, we all know why it is there in the first place. For the City of El Paso workers to use for a bathroom break. After all, they have to fix the broken parts on the rock wall in that area. But I've been driving on Scenic Drive all my life and it is rare to see this happen.

Another porta potty moment I got to experience was while I was on my way to work. One morning there was a porta potty in the middle of the road by Guadalupe Catholic Church on Alabama Street. Now it isn't every day you see one of those in the middle of a busy road.

Something else I found very confusing was a sign that greets you after visiting Juarez. It had me so confused that I had to get a picture of it to share. You can see what the sign says directly below.

Saving the best for last is what I like doing. I first want to say props to the person who formed the popular hand symbol we all know and love. On one of my walks in Central, I spotted something that got me laughing like a hyena. Someone had a brilliant idea to get someone good with their blue rubber glove trick. We all come across some things you don't see every day in El Paso and I wanted to share mine with you.
