Ryder Cup fans show their pride: Team USA, Europe supporters dressed up for golf at Whistling Straits

Fans arrived in the wee hours of the morning Friday to race to the first tee for the first day of Ryder Cup matches at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wisconsin. The gates officially opened at 5 a.m. but some fans lined up as early as 3:30 to be first in line.

Ian Poulter was booed, Bryson DeChambeau hit some bombsan eagle landed and Steph Curry and Michael Jordan came out to cheer on the Americans.

Fans chanted and cheered as action got under way at 7:05 a.m. with Americans Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth taking on Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm in the opening match. Garcia and Rahm went on to win, 3 and 1.
