The Yankees got two key pitchers back from injury this week in Luis Severino and Domingo German, and they could be getting two more back next week.

Manager Aaron Boone told reporters ahead of Friday’s series opener against the Red Sox that both Jameson Taillon and Jonathan Loaisiga could be activated at some point during a crucial series with the Blue Jays, which begins on Tuesday.

Taillon is already back with the team in Boston, and Boone said there is a “good chance” he will start one of the three games against Toronto.

Taillon has been out for over two weeks with a partially torn tendon in his right ankle. The righty had been healthy all season up to that point, certainly an accomplishment for a pitcher who was coming back from his second Tommy John surgery. He has pitched to a 4.41 ERA so far this season.

Loaisiga played catch at 120 feet on Tuesday, as he progresses towards a return after suffering a strained rotator cuff earlier this month. Arguably Boone’s most productive reliever this season, Loaisiga has pitched to a 2.25 ERA over 68 innings, by far his career high in terms of workload.
