The homage to Williams, who starred in television shows including “The Wire,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Bessie” and “The Night Of,” will be unveiled at the corner of South Portland and Lafayette avenues in Fort Greene on Saturday.

Artist Sally Rumble told Time Out New York she aimed to “pay homage to a Brooklyn son, artist and activist who touched so many with his art and heart.”

“More than an actor, Michael gave his all to the movement, and as an activist myself, I recognized this, which is why his passing is such a tremendous loss,” she said.

The mural will be officially unveiled at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Brooklyn Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo said on Instagram.

The unveiling is set to take place during a community block party outside Mo’s Bar at 80 Lafayette Ave. that will run from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Williams, 54, was found dead inside his Williamsburg apartment earlier this month. The city’s Medical Examiner on Friday ruled his death an accidental overdose caused by a deadly combination of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine.
