Four dead in possible Phenix City murder-suicide, authorities say

Three adults and an unborn child are dead following an apparent murder-suicide Friday, according to multiple reports.

WRBL of Columbus reports that the incident happened near a home off U.S. 80 near Misty Lane Friday afternoon. Investigators were checking in two separate areas.

Russell County Assistant District Attorney Mallory Hatfield told WTVM the deaths were a murder-suicide. Chief Assistant District Attorney Rick Chancey said the shootings came as a result of a domestic incident. Multiple shell casing have been found at the home.

None of the victims has yet been identified.
