This year’s 7th Annual Pork in the Park & More last Saturday, Sept. 18, drew crowds for an eclectic mix of attractions, likely bringing spectators and participants for one thing who then took advantage of the opportunity to check out all the other things the Merrill Festival Grounds had to offer.
Whether you came for the ribs and took advantage of the horse rides for the kids, or came for the gun show and were drawn down to the other end of the grounds by the aroma of ribs, and then got Optimist cheese curds and picked up some jewelry at one of the vendor stands nearby as you drifted along checking things out, or enjoyed any combination of activities in the order of your choosing, there was something for everyone to appreciate. Visitors were delighted to learn about the other events happening on the grounds as they wandered around, heard about the various events from others on-site, or learned about the events from the announcements on the loudspeaker.
