MOUNT VERNON β Hospice of North Central Ohio hosted their annual gratitude picnic on Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a drive-through this year due to COVID-19.
This event is to show appreciation for Veterans and First Responders and their spouses that support them.
Thank you to the sponsor, The Bad Apple Pub.
βOn behalf of The Bad Apple Pub, myself, and the Boucher family, I would like to thank every Veteran and First Responder for their service and community support. This gratitude luncheon is just a small thank you for a much bigger cause and sacrifice that all Veterans and First Responders deal with and have dealt with on a daily basis. My family thanks you for your service and dedication.β
— Tonya Boucher, member of the Boucher family, owners of The Bad Apple Pub who sponsored the event.
βThanks again for the lunch box meals for MVPD staff. Food was great, and a big hit with the staff. Thanks for everything you and the staff do on a daily basis for our community!β
— Captain Scott A. McKnight, Mount Vernon Police Department
βIt is our privilege to show appreciation for the Veterans and First Responders in our community. Without the dedication, commitment, and devotion of these individuals our community would not be the same. We would not experience the freedoms and peace which we are so fortunate to share in. We say thank you to all those who have served in these areas and were so glad The Bad Apple Pub graciously provided the opportunity to show gratitude in this drive through picnic.β
— Danielle England, Volunteer Coordinator, Hospice of North Central Ohio
Special thanks to our volunteers Marie, Carol and Marge for their help with the event.
