Thursday's Seacoast roundup: Coombs, Ruhnke lead Portsmouth girls soccer to seventh win

PORTSMOUTH – Haley Coombs and Avery Ruhnke each scored a goal as the Portsmouth High School girls soccer team beat Concord, 2-0 on Thursday in a Division I contest. 

Stella Bolduc and Mia Smith each had an assist for the Clippers, who are now 7-1 on the season. 

Portsmouth goalie Sofia Ranalli recorded her fourth shutout of the season. 

Kellsie Flint and Annie Parker both shined on offense for the Clippers. 

GIRLS SOCCER 

Dover 5 

Spaulding 0 

ROCHESTER – Anique Poulin had two goals for Dover (5-3-1) in this Division I win. 

Jess Galante, Zoe Wisniewski, and Hope Duncan all had one goal for the Green Wave. Duncan added two assists, while Mekenzie Clairmont, Allie Galante, and Jess Galante all had one.

NEWMARKET – Ella Gagnon, Maddie Joe, Anna Willerer and Haiden Joe each scored a goal for Newmarket in this Division IV win.

YORK, Maine - Ava Giacobba, Delaney Foley and Ella Boissonneault each scored a goal for York (4-2).

WINDHAM, Maine – Sam Arnold had 22 saves for Marshwood in this Class A South loss.

DURHAM – Nathan Mendoza scored two goals and Hunter Perry had one for Oyster River in this Division II contest.

Somersworth goalie Nick Siagain had seven saves.

WELLS, Maine – Nick Moreau had two goals and three assists for York in this win. 

Sean Patch, Andy Furlong, Nick Hoy and Connor Roberge all scored for the Wildcats. Patch had one assist, and goalie Haydn Forbes earned the shutout.

DOVER – Tory Vitko had 24 assists and 14 digs for Dover (6-1) in this Division I win. 

Individual game scores were 26-24, 25-16, 25-22. 

Maggie Hurley had eight kills for the Green Wave. 

GOLF

Warriors win three-team match 

HOLLIS – Chris Berry shot a 36, and June Doerr and Jimmy Schouller each had a 38 for Winnacunnet in this three-team match at Overlook Golf Club. 

Winnacunnet won with a team score of 199. Hollis-Brookline and Trinity each shot a 219, tying for second place. 

Colin Harrington shot a 42 for the Warriors, while Miles Pratt had a 45.
