BARK IN THE PARK EVENT SATURDAY AT WASHINGTON ON THE BRAZOS

Saturday, you’re invited to bring your leashed four-legged friend to Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site.  The park will be hosting their 4th annual Bark in the Park event from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

There will be educational booths, adoption information and pet products for sale. K-9 Demos from the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office will take place at 11am and 12:15pm.  Entertainment and food will be available and water will be provided for the pets and the humans.  All vendors and demonstrations are outside and will be sufficiently separated apart as to help with social distancing. Entrance to the park and event are free.

In addition, the monthly Farmer’s Market will take place with vendors selling local produce, sweets and homemade goods.

The Historic Site is open daily from 8am to 5pm. Dogs are now allowed inside the Museum, Barrington Plantation, Visitor’s Center or Independence Hall. Regular Admission fees will be collected for these.

Washington on the Brazos is located on the Brazos River at the original townsite of Washington, Texas. It is located approximately halfway between Brenham and Navasota, off of State Highway 105.
