Who’s On Worst: Angels in the Outfield

When the team at Who’s on Worst selects the movies we’re going to watch (and roast) we go in with an open mind. Our goal is not to pick things apart or be miserable killjoys. If you’ve listened to the podcast for a while, you’ll know we often surprise ourselves with how much we like the movies we watch.

So, being that we were all once children, and remember a lot of kid’s baseball movies with fondness (see our review of Rookie of the Year if you don’t believe me), we thought going into our re-watch of Angels in the Outfield that we might be overcome with loving nostalgia. Instead, we realized what an absolute downer of a movie it really is (death! child abandonment! kids in the foster system with incredibly sad backstories!)

Listen along with Ashley, Darby, and Brett as we watch a cadre of future Oscar winners pretend that Angels are making them jump really high, and figure out why, perhaps, Disney has made it so dang hard to watch this movie anywhere online.
