HOOVER, Ala (WBMA) - It's been more than a year now since Emmanuel Prude and his wife Natashah lost two children in a horrific vehicle crash. Now they're reaching out to the public asking for help in locating the suspect who has evaded capture since Sept. of 2020.
11 year old Emrhye Prude and 8 year old Serris Prude were killed in the crash; four others were injured. The family's Honda Fit was struck from behind by a heavy duty truck while stopped in traffic on U.S. 31.
Murder warrants were signed against the truck driver, Christopher Shane Anagnos. Crimestoppers of Central Alabama's Sgt. John Pennington says they get regular tips on Anagnos which are passed on to U.S. Marshals. He says most of those tips put 46 year old Anagnos out of state.
"Every single day he's out there is an insult to my children," said Emmanuel Prude in a Thursday evening news conference. Prude wants to draw attention to the case in hopes that Anagnos will be found.

Prude called Anagnos a coward who is afraid to be accountable for his actions. "I want to make his world smaller and more uncomfortable to the point he makes a mistake and is caught and brought to justice," remarked Prude.
"We're here begging for anyone to help this family bring this man to justice," said family attorney Courtney French. He said the past year has been a living nightmare for the family.
Hoover PD statement on case:
'Our Traffic Homicide investigators obtained murder warrants against the defendant in this case in November 2020. We immediately requested the assistance of the United States Marshals Service to apprehended the defendant. They have spent the past 10 months tracking leads in an effort to serve these warrants. I can assure you that the Hoover Police Department has done and will continue to do everything it can do to hold this defendant accountable."
Prude recalled his young daughter's hugs which he said made him feel like a superhero. Serris he said owned a room when she walked into it. He remembered his son as so independent and smart. Prude said he thought he would have a lifetime of memories with them and now he has the brutal understanding anything can happen.
He says always let your children know how special they are.
