It’s time once again to speak with Castle Dale City Mayor Danny Van Wagoner to discuss water usage and the upcoming EmCo Paranormal Con Festival.

“You can really take your hat off to the citizens in Emery County. We were looking at a dire situation of shutting everything off in the middle of July and we just barely shut our water off the end of last week, our secondary waters. Everybody did a phenomenal job at conserving our water. Our water rate dropped by hundreds of thousands of gallons. I just got to say citizens have been fantastic and when they could cut back, they cut back and everybody’s grass got blessed I guess because we’re all green,” stated Mayor Van Wagoner. City officials appreciate all the hard work citizens did over the summer to conserve water.

There will be a EmCo Paranormal Con Festival taking place on October 1 and October 2 at the Museum of the San Rafael located at 70 North 100 East in Castle Dale. “Emery County Travel and Tourism activities and the San Rafael Museum and this is going to be a fundraiser for them. We’re going to block off the street right out in front of the museum and we are going to have a party. It starts on the first Friday night and goes into all day on Saturday. There’s going to be sightings of the Sasquatch and aliens. So we’re going to explore all of these myths, legends and facts that’s going on around Emery County,” stated Mayor Van Wagoner. The festival will be celebrating the many things that define Eastern Utah through the Mormon and outlaw history stories that will be shared by the Eastern Utah Tourism & History Association. There will also be trick or treating, live music, vendors, and lectures. The festival is a perfect Halloween event to attend and it’s open to all ages.

If anyone has questions about the EmCo Paranormal Con Festival they can call the city office. “Our phone number once again is (435) 381-2115 we’ll get you lined up to the right people you need to talk to. Come out, I’ll be out there visiting the crowds and everybody else, just going to have one good time,” said Mayor Van Wagoner.
