Radford man charged with sex crimes involving minors, adults

Charged with aggravated sexual battery, unlawful creation of images of another

BLACKSBURG, Va. – A Radford man has been charged with several sex crimes for alleged offenses against both minors and adults.

Michael Trujillo, 32, has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and unlawful creation of images of another, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office and the Blacksburg Police Department are conducting joint investigations into the incidents.

The incidents happened in 2020 and there has been an ongoing investigation since, according to court records, and authorities said it is possible that more victims could come forward.

Trujillo worked at several schools in Montgomery County from Aug. 2011 until May 2021, according to Brenda Drake, a MCPS spokeswoman.

Court records show that Trujillo was released on recognizance.
