A Glenwood man was involved in a fatal crash with a pedestrian in Traverse County on Thursday morning, Sept. 23.
Nicholas Bo Hunter, 37, was driving a 2010 Kenwood tractor and was on 650th Street and attempting to back onto Highway 27 near Wheaton when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who died in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
The victim was Jesse Robert Kapela, 24, from Waite Park.
The Wheaton Fire Department, Wheaton Ambulance, Traverse County Sheriff's Office and Wheaton Police Department assisted at the scene.
Hunter, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured in the crash, which happened at about 8:30 a.m. in Lake Valley Township.
