An answer about Syracuse’s Carrier Dome stumped all three contestants on “Jeopardy!” Thursday night.

Matt Amodio, who entered the episode with a 26-game winning streak and nearly $1 million in prize money, was joined by new challengers Guhan Venkatesan and Caroline Minkus. A category in the first round, “Sports Venue Nicknames,” gave them some trouble.

For $1,000, guest host Mayim Bialik read: “Nicknamed ‘The Loud House,’ the Carrier Dome is the stadium of this university in New York state.”

None of the contestants buzzed in.

“What is Syracuse University?” Bialik said, as every SU alum and Central New Yorker likely yelled at their televisions.

The contestants also struggled with a “Sports Venue Nicknames” clue about the Gonzaga basketball team’s McCarthey Athletic Center nicknamed after an animal shelter. Venkatesan guessed “What is a Dawg Pound?” and Minkus asked “What is a Dog House?” when Bialik revealed the correct question: “What is the Kennel?”

Amodio, though, did correctly recognize Beijing National Stadium from the most recent Olympics in China as the “Bird’s Nest” for $800.

Bialik, of “Blossom” and “The Big Bang Theory” fame, is sharing guest-hosting duties with former “Jeopardy!” champ Ken Jennings for the rest of the year. Former “Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards was tapped to be the permanent replacement for the late, great Alex Trebek, but stepped down amid backlash over sexist comments he made on a podcast and multiple discrimination lawsuits from his work at “The Price Is Right.”

A permanent host has yet to be named, but Bialik — who is also hosting special editions of the long-running game show — told Glamour magazine that she wants to host “Jeopardy!” full-time.

“There’s no other job I would rather have,” the 45-year-old actress said in a new interview published Tuesday. “I love my sitcom work, I do. I love all the other things I do. I love the podcast. But I absolutely have never had a better job.”

“Jeopardy!” airs weeknights at 7:30 p.m. on Fox 68 (WSYT) in the Syracuse area. The show can also be viewed on Hulu + Live ($54.99/month).
