BRYAN MAN SENTENCED TO 50 YEARS IN PRISON FOR MURDER

A Bryan man who was indicted two years ago for murder has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

30-year-old Cameron Krumrey pleaded guilty on Wednesday to the murder of Jose Armando Pina on March 30, 2019.

According to the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, Krumrey approached and confronted Pina in his vehicle with a handgun before shooting him in the heart.

A nearby witness gave a description of Krumrey to police, who located surveillance footage that showed the murder on video.

Bryan police later found footage that identified the suspect’s vehicle, and identified Krumrey as the suspect after examining hours of video.

Police obtained a search warrant for Krumrey’s home and found the firearm used and the clothing worn at the scene.  According to the district attorney’s office, forensic analysis and DNA testing linked Krumrey to the crime.
