Stephen Michael Killey, 60, of Plano, IL, passed away on September 22, 2021 surrounded by family. Stephen was born on November 12, 1960 in Aurora, IL to James and Marjorie (Newkirk) Killey. Stephen was a loving husband of 40 happy years to his wife Anita. He worked for over 35 years as a chemical processor for Dial Corp. in Montgomery, IL, and retired in August 2018. Stephen enjoyed fishing and going camping at River Bay Campground in Wisconsin. He loved watching the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburg Steelers. He enjoyed watching Sunday and Monday Night Football. He also enjoyed his man cave. He previously served for 15 years as a firefighter/EMT for the Little Rock Fox Fire Protection District. He coached Plano baseball, softball, and PYTF. More than anything, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Anita; His mother, Marjorie; 2 children, Kristen Goldsmith of Sandwich, IL and Derek (Jennifer) Killey of South Elgin, IL; 4 granddaughters, Payton Goldsmith, Hailie Killey, Madison Goldsmith and Rylan Goldsmith; As well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, James; 1 brother, Scott Killey; And 1 sister, Jan Marie Killey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street Sandwich, IL 60548. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M.
