Bryan Danielson: It's Been Difficult For WWE To Create New Stars The Last Several Years

Bryan Danielson is excited to work with the young talent in AEW.

While AEW has top stars such as Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, CM Punk, and more, the company has used established names to showcase younger talent like MJF, Dante Martin, Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks, and Darby Allin.

Danielson seems himself in a similar vein when it comes to working with the younger talent in AEW.

"One of the things that's been very difficult in WWE the last several years has been creating new stars," Danielson said in an interview with Brandon Walker on Rasslin. "AEW came in with a handful of stars that had been known nationwide. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega weren't really known nationwide. They had a lot of fans, but they hadn't really been on national TV. You had Jericho, Moxley, and a handful guys maybe people knew. It's the ability to go out there and create these new stars and create people they are excited about. I have no doubts about AEW's future as far as that's concerned. You can just see it. There are all these guys that are young and have so much talent. They're just going to thrive. One of the things that really excites me is the learning goes both ways. They will learn from me and CM Punk, but I will also learn from them because as someone who is 40 years old and has been in wrestling for 21 years, I have certain ways of thinking. The wrestling business and world is not the same as it was in 1999. So, 'Hey, Dante Martin what do you love about wrestling? What does your generation love about wrestling?' They have a different approach than I did. I'm interested in that perspective as far as growing as a human and performer in learning from the young guys."

Danielson made his in-ring debut at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, going to a 30-minute time limit draw with Kenny Omega.
