Jurgen Klopp reveals Liverpool star Thiago is expected to be out until after October international break with calf injury...while fellow midfielder Naby Keita will miss Brentford match with knee injury

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he does not expect Thiago Alcantara to play for Liverpool again until after the international break due to a calf injury.

The Spain international suffered the injury in the Premier League win against Crystal Palace at Anfield last weekend, and was subsequently ruled out of the Carabao Cup third-round victory at Norwich on Tuesday.

But Klopp has now revealed that he does not expect to see the 30-year-old former Bayern Munich midfielder play again until October's international fixtures are out of the way.

Speaking about Thiago's injury ahead of the Reds' late-kick off at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday, Klopp said: 'It's not 100 per cent clear.
