A Silver Alert has been issued for a man missing in Izard County. The Izard County Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old Billy Wayne Craig from the Mount Pleasant area was reported missing about 6:30 Thursday evening. He was last seen near the intersection of State Highway 89 and Stella Loop and was wearing blue jeans, a royal blue shirt and no shoes.
Craig is described as a white male, 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with short gray hair.
A spokesman for the Izard County Sheriff’s Office says officers from several agencies, the Baxter County helicopter and tracking dogs from the Arkansas Department of Corrections searched well into the overnight hours for the missing man.
