A 20-year-old Orion Township man is sought by law enforcement after making suicidal and homicidal statements and then fleeing from home on Wednesday evening, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responding to a home in the 2000 block of Pondview Court reportedly saw the man leave through a basement door, and then were told by the man’s stepmother that they had argued after she told him to turn down his music. He then punched a hole in the wall and threatened to “slice her up,” she said, before leaving the residence, the sheriff’s office said. The stepmother also said the man made suicidal statements as he left.

The area was searched by a K9 unit as well as members of the sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, the sheriff’s office said. Fenton police were also contacted as it was learned the man may have gone there where a friend lives, the sheriff’s office said.

The man has been entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as endangered.
