Sophia Danyko-Kluchycky led the Colonials offensive charge in the effort

KINGSTON, R.I. - GW peppered the Rams backline with shots, but was unable to put a ball past goalkeeper Faith Hutchens, falling 2-0, at Rhode Island in its second A-10 match.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
20th Minute: Kelly Fitzgerald scored the opening goal for URI when her shot skipped in front of goalkeeper Tamaki Machi and found the back of the net. 
• 81st Minute: The Rams put the match on ice after Laila Rosenthal curved a shot past the outstretched arms of Machi and into the top left corner of the goal. 

NOTEWORTHY
Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky continued to pace the GW offense, leading the team in shots and shots-on-goal. She is now tied with Sammy Neyman for the team lead in shots, with 22, and leads the team in shots-on-goal with 14.
• Four different Colonials registered a shot for the sixth straight contest. 
Tamaki Machi made six saves in the effort.  
• Rhode Island led the match in shots, 10-9, and shots on goal, 8-3, while GW led in corner opportunities 3-0.
