UOB Malaysia Teams Up with Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad to Offer Insurance Services

UOB Malaysia has partnered with Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) in order to offer clients with a suite of insurance services via a new Virtual Face-to-Face (VF2F) feature on Pulse, which is the insurance provider’s comprehensive health and wellness app.

The bank stated that it’s the first service provider in Southeast Asia to use the VF2F feature.

UOB Malaysia’s 360 sales representatives are able to use the VF2F feature via the Pulse app in order to connect with their clients via chat or video call and assist them with insurance advisory services, such as suggesting various life insurance products, which may be suited to their specific requirements.

The VF2F feature also allows the banking platform’s clients to turn in the appropriate documentation and forms electronically.

The complete process, from receiving financial guidance to submitting applications for insurance coverage, is carried out via the user-friendly app.

Ronnie Lim, MD and Country Head of Personal Financial Services, stated:

“The latest digital offering is part of the Bank’s continuous efforts to offer greater convenience while safeguarding the health and safety of our customers and employees. With more consumers using smartphones to manage their financial needs, we hope that one in every two customers will benefit from this new feature and sign up for the protection or wealth solutions that we offer together with PAMB.”

Lee Ee Hui, Senior Director, Partnerships Distribution of PAMB, remarked:

“Prudential’s purpose has always been to help people get the most out of life through protecting their health and growing their wealth. The pandemic has elevated the awareness of insurance protection and the critical need to be financially protected. With this partnership, we are able to offer UOB Malaysia’s customers a secure end to-end service anytime, anywhere through our AI-powered health app, Pulse.”
