Fond du Lac area residents are walking next month in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s-Fond du Lac County will be held Saturday October 2 at Moraine Park Technical College. Dan Weidert says he started volunteering after watching his mom suffer from the disease for many years. Weidert says over the years the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. If you would like to donate you can log on to act.alz.org/fonddulac.
