Zaitsev put up 17 points, 114 hits and 110 blocked shots in 55 contests last season, but the undisclosed injury kept him out of the IIHF World Championships in May. The 29-year-old appears no worse for wear heading into 2021-22, where he'll provide a physical and steady defensive effort to the Senators' blue line.
