Another member of Jefferson's deep, athletic football team has made his decision for where he'll play college football.

Senior athlete Jordan Perry committed to Kansas State, he announced on Twitter Thursday.

Perry, who has been sidelined for the first half of the 2021 season with a partial tear of his right MCL, also had offers from Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan, Georgia State, Miami (OH) and Middle Tennessee State.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior was offered by KSU on June 3 and took an official visit to Manhattan, Kansas later that month.

"I love the people," Perry said Friday. "When we went up there, they really treated us all like family. I really appreciated that. I loved it."

His junior season, Perry rushed for 434 yards and five touchdowns, had eight receptions for 208 yards and four touchdowns, posted 37 tackles and came down with four interceptions. He earned Region 8-AAAA player of the year honors and helped lead Jefferson to the state championship.

Perry joins Malaki Starks as the two Dragons who have made their commitments to play college football next fall. He's the 11th player to commit to KSU, who has a Top 70 class nationally.

"It has always been a big thing for me," Perry said. "Since I was a little kid, it’s been a dream so for it to come true is the best thing ever."

Perry plans to finish out his senior year and graduate in May so he can run track for the Dragons in spring.
