A new season of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” comes to TV this week.

A new season premieres on NBC on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT). You can also stream it on FuboTV (free trial), Sling and Philo.

“Law & Order,” a long-running and highly acclaimed police procedural drama series, has inspired several spinoffs and fan-created projects, including podcasts. For more than 20 years, the show has taken viewers through dramatized versions of police cases.

The cast includes Mariska Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson; Ice T as Sergeant Odafin Tutuola; Kelly Giddish as Detective Amanda Rollins; Peter Scanavino as ADA Sonny Carisi; Jamie Gray Hyder as Officer Katriona “Kat” Azar Tamin and Demore Barnes as Deputy Chief Christian Garland.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” is produced by Universal, in association with Wolf Entertainment. Dick Wolf is the creator and executive producer.
