JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown City Engineer Travis Dillman informed the Public Works Committee Thursday evening on various projects happening throughout the city.

Dillman started with the 2021 emergency water main replacement that has been moving forward.

Dillman says they’ll share costs once everything is in place.

As far as the current water main improvement project, Dillman says they’re on track to meet their completion date.

For the Civic Center, the 2021 roofing project is completed. Dillman says work will begin putting bid specs together for the 2022 Civic Center roofing project. He stated materials are estimated to be on hand 4 to 6 months after order date, so they want to order as soon as possible.

For 12th Avenue SE reconstruction, Dillman says the North Dakota Department of Transportation is working on the final scope and moving forward.

Based on the Right of Way that will likely be needed, we are hopefully [set] for a 2022 constructions season, but if right of way is a hold up, it might have to be 2023,” Dillman reported.

There was also an updated on the 2022 construction of ND Highway 20 Mill and Overlay. Dillman reports they were successful in getting the DOT to agree to the blocks of curb and gutter to be added to the project.

“It also appears as though the existing lighting will remain in place,” he added. “This project appears to be moving along nicely at this point for the 2022 construction season.”
