Think making the QR the MCU equivalent of Negative Zone would be a smart choice. And since the QR also allows for time travel, I wouldn't mind it if the FF's first adventure is them travelling back to the 60s, have an adventure there, and then come back.

@bkmeijer - I believe #3 (60's origin) is totally what they should do.

See, RR is a waaaay higher genius than Tony or Howard ever were. If the guy managed to go to the negative zone in the 60's it says something about how FANTASTIC the team is.

@bkmeijer - idk. with how much antman is exploring the quantum realm and how it's not even possible to reach the quantum realm without the shrinking tech, it just sounds like you're removing another great storytelling avenue while giving reed hank's thing.

@Fogs @Origame - I think they should have Reed come up with something thats different from shrinking to enter the QR. Maybe even have him develop a proto version of the portals we see the TVA use
Origame
Origame - 9/24/2021, 2:51 AM
@bkmeijer - it'd still technically be shrinking since the quantum realm is just something really really small. And I really don't like the idea of Reed having basically everything hank has, but arguably more efficient.

@Origame - yeah thats a fair point. I think Doctor Strange also visited the QR when the Ancient One sent him on that "open your eyes" trip, but then the same argument goes (but instead of Reed having shrinking tech, he also has magic).

That said, Tony Stark figured out QR travel in one night while eating icecream. So in a sense he too had what Hank had, but better (took Hank 30 years to figure QR travel out)
Origame

@bkmeijer - he didn't figure out qr travel though. Scott gave him all that data with the pym tech he was using. Stark figured out how to use that tech to navigate the quantum realm so they could use it for time travel.

@Origame - thats true. Who's to say they won't share with Reed too though?
Origame

@bkmeijer - hank. He's incredibly protective of his technology. And the only reason stark was able to use it was because hank was dead and Scott needed to save the universe.

You see there are just too many hurdles to go through to have reeds "negative zone" be the quantum realm. And since the antman franchise is already thoroughly exploring it, all you'd be doing is eliminating the possibility of having a new corner of the mcu to explore.

@Origame - okay you got me. I do hope we get to see Hank and Reed interact on screen though, even if it isn't QR related

@bkmeijer - yeah that'd be cool.

@Origame @bkmeijer - If the 60's are the setting Reed could even be his teacher or something hahaha. How cool would it be?

bkmeijer2 - 9/24/2021, 9:46 AM
@Fogs - that would be pretty fun to see. And if they're doing the 60s, they should get Howard in there too
Fogs
Fogs - 9/24/2021, 11:48 AM
@bkmeijer - Well, considering the importance Shield could eventually be involved. But I'd rather have them being more of an unknown team.

bkmeijer2 - 9/24/2021, 2:12 PM
@Fogs - same. But I do want that in the modern day (rather than the 60s). If played right, they can become the biggest team in the franchise

Really Cyclops and Mister Fantastic should be the new Steve and Tony of the MCU

@dracula - It would be interesting if wolverine would join the avengers instead of the X-Men and seeing him in Spiderman interact. Unfortunately they’re taking so long with the X-Men I think Spiderman will be gone. I guess he’ll never have a mentor
WruceBayne

@TheWalkingCuban - I think they’re taking their time with The X-Men because that’s a whole other 10 plus years of storytelling they have and they’re not done squeezing every dime out of the Avengers yet.
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 9/23/2021, 1:29 PM
@WruceBayne - too many dimes to wait very long I’m sure they’ll overlap at the very least
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 9/23/2021, 1:45 PM
@TheWalkingCuban - I definitely think they’ll overlap at some point. I think it’ll be a “passing of the torch” to a new batch of Superheroes.
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 9/23/2021, 1:51 PM
@WruceBayne - shame RDJ and jackman couldn’t coexist but it is what it is. Here’s to a cgi Beast and Red Hulk!
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 9/23/2021, 2:46 PM
@TheWalkingCuban - ooooooh, you think we’re getting Red Hulk!? Think he’ll be in the She-Hulk series?
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 9/23/2021, 4:09 PM
@WruceBayne - yes that’s what I’m hoping Fa sho
