Coldplay and BTS Will Make a Music Video for ‘My Universe’

Coldplay and BTS’ song ‘My Universe’ will have a music video soon

On Sept. 22, Parlophone Records shared a graphic containing the schedule for the release of “My Universe.”

“TWO DAYS until Friday’s release of My Universe by Coldplay X BTS – and we can tell Coldplayers and the ARMY are as excited as we are! Here are some #MyUniverse dates for your diary…,” the label tweeted.

According to the tweeted image, “My Universe” will be released as a digital single at midnight EDT on Sept. 24. An official lyric video for the song will drop at the same time.

A documentary titled Inside My Universe Documentary will be available to watch at 8 a.m. EDT on Sept. 26. At 7 p.m. EDT on Sept. 26, two remixes of the song will be released. The remixes are called “Supernova 7 Mix” and “Acoustic Version.”

Parlophone Records’ tweet also shows that “My Universe” will have an official music video. However, the music video for “My Universe” does not have a release date yet.

What we know about ‘My Universe’

Coldplay announced they planned to release the collaboration track with BTS on Sept. 13. After announcing “My Universe,” Coldplay shared details about the single on their official website

The announcement on Coldplay’s website reads:

“The band have today announced their much-anticipated collaboration with BTS. My Universe will be released on September 24th.

The track, sung in both English and Korean, was written by Coldplay and BTS and produced by Max Martin. It is available to pre-order / pre-save now, with a CD single also available to order, at myuniverse.coldplay.com.

My Universe is the second single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming album Music Of The Spheres (out October 15th).”

Is ‘My Universe’ the 1st Time BTS and Coldplay Collaborated?

On Sept. 21, Coldplay released a brief lyric video on social media previewing the song. In the video, fans can hear a few members of BTS and Chris Martin of Coldplay sing “My Universe.”

“And they said that we can’t be together,” RM sings at the start of the video.

Multiple voices then sing “Because,” followed by Jimin singing, “Because we come from different sides.”

“You, you are / My universe / And I just want to put you first,” Martin sings at the end of the clip.

Coldplay and BTS recently met in New York City

On Sept. 20, the members of BTS spoke at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. A few days later on Sept. 22, BTS and Coldplay met up in person before Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook headed back to South Korea.

The two bands posted photos of their meeting on social media. While the groups did not seem to meet for very long, the photos definitely built even more anticipation for “My Universe.”
