Porsha Williams Experienced a Major First with Her Fiancé: "What An Experience"

The RHOA cast member and her husband-to-be are sharing a peek into their extra special trip to Nigeria.

Porsha Williams recently experienced a special milestone with her fiancé, Simon Guobadia, traveling to his home country of Nigeria for the first time. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member took to Instagram to capture some sweet moments with her husband-to-be during their unforgettable trip.

On September 22, Porsha offered a glimpse at the couple’s first stop in the city of Benin.  In a series of photos and videos, the RHOA mom can be seen dancing and posing alongside her fiancé while getting a warm welcome from the locals.

“NG. What an absolutely beautiful welcoming by the people of Benin here in the home of the honorable Chief Gabriel Igbinedion,” Porsha wrote in the caption of the post.

She went on to add, “Thank you to my new sister for sending me my fabulous dress. This is the city that raised my fiancé and I’m so blessed to come back and have this experience with him.”

In a separate post, Porsha shared more details about the incredible experience. “Enjoying the festivities for Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion private birthday celebration. M first time in Nigeria and I love it already,” she wrote, also adding, “Palm wine from my palms to yours my love. I’m glad that Benin is our first stop the culture and tradition is so rich here.”

Simon also shared some stunning photos from their trip. “This was an incredible week with @porsha4real - spending time with family and friends in my native homeland Nigeria,” he wrote. “This was some sort of homecoming because this was my 4th trip to Nigeria in almost 40 years and the last two happened within one month of each other.”

He also gave Porsha a shout-out for encouraging him to make the trip. “ All credit goes to this woman who has shown me the importance of embracing my homeland, and has taken the step to visit and embrace my family and culture with me,” he wrote.
