Trooper Nickolas Elliott, of Troop D, Kittanning, has been cited for harassment, the state police said.

A state trooper who works out of Kittanning has been cited for harassment, a summary offense, the Pennsylvania State Police announced Thursday.An internal affairs investigation led to the charge against Nickolas Elliott, who is suspended without pay, state police said."The charge is based on an allegation of unwarranted use of force. PSP does not tolerate such action in any situation and takes these allegations seriously," police said in a statement.According to the citation, Elliott shoved the victim from behind and made physical contact while the victim was seated in a vehicle.No additional details were immediately released.An online docket shows that District Judge James Owen in East Franklin Township is assigned to the case. No date for a hearing has been set, according to the docket.
