The Kansas City Chiefs look to rebound against the LA Chargers this week. We give a preview of this and five of the best non-Chiefs games of the week.

Before we unveil the preview of the Week 3 matchup with the Chargers, we will take a look at the top five games of the week that do not involve Patrick Mahomes. There is one clear-cut option at the top and a couple of other games that have early playoff implications.

The Chiefs will have their eyes focused on the rest of the AFC West as they try to climb back to the top. With the Chargers coming to town, the Chiefs have an opportunity to take the tie breaker this week in a head-to-head over them. While the Raiders play the Dolphins and the Broncos play the Jets, it may take some kind of miracle for Kansas City to leap back on top of the AFC West this week.

That said, there are some much more intriguing games to follow this week.

Top (Non-Chiefs) games of the week:

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Los Angeles Rams

Tampa Bay goes to Los Angeles to take on the Rams, who will likely test their defense in a way that they have not yet seen. Tom Brady is on pace to have an MVP-caliber year thus far and Matt Stafford is finding a new niche in LA.

This one shapes up to be a thriller. The Rams present a unique challenge on both sides of the ball for the Buccaneers. While Brady appears to be an immortal being, the idea of Jalen Ramsey on the back end and Aaron Donald chasing him around up front is enough to knock anyone out of their comfort zone.

2. Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans

After the first ranked game, the rest of these seem far less interesting. That said, the Colts and Titans have a lot to play for already in week 3. The Colts are trying to find their footing and win some games whereas the Titans are trying to prove that they are a legitimate contender after a rocky start through two weeks.

I fully expect the Titans to win this game, but if Indy can pull off an upset, they may just save their season. If Tennessee cannot pull this one off, there will be serious questions going forward about their ability to be a consistent team, despite their immense talent.

3. Green Bay Packers @ San Fransisco 49ers

By all accounts, it appears that the Packers have righted the ship. After a rocky start in which they lost to the Saints and struggled early against the Lions, Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones appear to have the Packers destined for greatness again. In a matchup with the 49ers, they will have the opportunity to display their talents against another talented team. This one is intriguing for the shakeup of the NFC.

4. Seattle Seahawks @ Minnesota Vikings

Seattle and Minnesota are both coming off of heart-breaking Week 2 losses and are looking to right the ship. While Seattle looks like the part of a contender, the Vikings have a lot to prove in every facet of their game. This could be Minnesota’s last chance to right the ship for a playoff run.

5. Washington Football Team @ Buffalo Bills

Washington is still a top-notch defense and could present a tough matchup for the Bills. Josh Allen led the Bills to 35-0 win over the Dolphins in Week 2. Now, we will get an opportunity to see whether the Bills’ offense or Washington’s defense is the better unit, which will make for an interesting storyline in this one.
